Lung Cancer Detection Network

A model we built with biomedical engineers for TEKNOFEST. It detects small-cell lung cancer from imaging and drafts a candidate treatment plan for the clinician. We made the finals.

I was on the neural-network side: a convolutional backbone does the detection, and a mixed rule-and-model layer above it turns the findings into a structured treatment suggestion.

The two teams worked in parallel the whole time so the medical logic never drifted away from the model. The model, the data pipeline and the evaluation were finished; the project made the TEKNOFEST finals.
