Curriculum Vitae

Erdem Doğan, Backend & AI Engineer

İstanbul-based backend and AI engineer with production ownership of systems that operate unattended. I work across Python, Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript, and build things end to end.

Summary

Erdem Doğan is a backend and AI engineer based in İstanbul. He is the sole engineer of an autonomous recruitment platform that combines LLM agents with a scraping pipeline maintaining 40,000+ agent records across six national franchise networks, with real-time change detection, integrity guards and multi-channel alerting on a containerised VPS deployment. He delivers end to end across Python, Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript: multi-tenant schema design, LLM integration behind server-side proxies, and diagnosis of failures that appear only under production load.

Availability

Open to remote work and relocation. Visa-free Schengen travel.

Experience

  • Apr 2026 – PresentLead AI & Automation EngineerFull-time, remote, sole engineer

    Otorecrutor

A recruitment-intelligence platform I am the only engineer on. An LLM agent sits on top of a Python and Playwright acquisition layer that keeps 40,000+ agent records current across six national franchise networks, twice a day, with nobody watching.

  • May 2026 – PresentMobile & Backend DeveloperContract, İstanbul

    Avrupa Çocuk platform

A platform connecting specialists and parents across a multi-branch rehabilitation clinic chain: a Java 25 and Spring Boot 4 backend with six user roles, a Flutter client, and separate deployments per country so regulatory boundaries stay real. I also run the organisation's Instagram and its ad campaigns.

  • Oct 2026 – PresentBackend EngineerProject-based

    NovaExchange

Part of the team relaunching NovaExchange, a Sweden-based cryptocurrency exchange. I joined as a backend engineer and work across the rest of the product as well.

  • Apr 2026 – May 2026Software Engineer InternRemote, İstanbul

    TNC Group

Completed the Software Persona professional development programme with a certificate of achievement: relational databases and SQL, JavaScript web development, UI/UX design in Figma, and Android and iOS mobile development.

  • Dec 2025 – Jan 2026Junior Game DeveloperContract, remote, Rome-based team

    WarCry MMORPG

Core development team of an MMORPG. Refactored C++ game-loop and server-side systems, and automated item and mob data management in Python so database values stayed consistent with in-game mechanics. The engagement ended when the project was discontinued for budget reasons.

  • Oct 2025 – Dec 2025Software Engineer Internİstanbul

    Zettanium

PHP server-side logic and relational schema design for the company's web infrastructure. An unfamiliar stack, picked up independently and delivered within the internship.

  • 2024 – 2025Software DeveloperSelf-employed

    Freelance

Production web applications for clients in healthcare, education and retail. Scoping with non-technical stakeholders, build, deployment and post-launch maintenance, owned end to end.

Selected projects

  • 2026Engineer

    Multi-Agent Development Orchestrator

Takes a request in plain language and decomposes it into a chain of ten specialised coding agents (architect, backend, mobile, QA, security, review, localisation), each running as an isolated process against a target repository.

  • 2026Architect & Full-Stack Engineer

    Triage

A pipeline that takes messy customer input and turns it into structured data: an urgency score, a category, a two-line summary. When something is urgent, the webhook and the alert e-mail go out on their own.

  • 2025Engineer

    Chess, from scratch

Chess with all its rules and no chess library: board model, move generation, check and mate detection, and a minimax search with alpha-beta pruning over a tile-based board. Java first, then ported to JavaScript so it runs in the browser. You can play it on this site.

  • 2026Engineer

    NOA

A SwiftUI iOS app with LLM-backed assistant modes and live market data, kept behind a Cloudflare Workers proxy so no API key ever reaches the device.

  • 2026Engineer

    cents

A Next.js availability tracker with a Telegram bot that tells you the moment something you have been watching comes back in stock.
